SPONSORS
We wouldn’t be able to continue our work without the generosity of so many businesses, companies and organisations, large and small, who have chosen to donate to Cancer Relief.
We are so grateful to you all for enabling us to care for as many patients and families as possible.
Our local business community is invaluable to Cancer Relief. We are very proud of the relationships we have built over the years with our corporate sponsors and we are so grateful to them for helping us raise thousands of pounds every year through fundraising and sponsorship. They have all played a massive part in helping us keep our services funded and available so we can continue to care for the local community. We are hugely grateful to the following companies for their support over the past year.
Peter J Isola
Foundation
Upon reading the difficulty Cancer Relief was facing during the unprecedented Covid-19 lock-down and subsequent cancellation of all fundraising events, the inspiring Peter Isola and Neil Costa decided to take action – literally! Under the Peter J Isola Foundation, the pair undertook a huge endurance challenge – Peter rode 374km on his Watt bike and Neil ran 146km! This huge effort was matched by huge donations from a variety of companies who chose to generously support the men’s impressive efforts. Together they raised a whopping £102,175, the largest single donation Cancer Relief has ever received! Their hard work has ensured the charity will be able to keep all their services available and running for those who need them
GBC
OPEN DAY
Cancer Relief has been so fortunate to have been one of the beneficiaries of GBC’s Open day fundraising efforts since. These donations from GBC have been the backbone of Cancer Relief’s yearly fundraising efforts and have helped us meet the financial requirements necessary to keep the Centre open and free to all who need us. GBC’s incredible efforts enable the community to take an active part in ensuring our local charities get the support they so desperately need.
Abacus Financial Services Ltd
One of the charity’s greatest assets but greatest expenses are our professional, experienced nurses. In 2017, Abacus made the decision to sponsor a Cancer Relief nurse for three years. This means a yearly donation of £26,000 to cover the cost of funding a nurse post for a year. This takes a great weight off the charity’s finances and ensure our nurses will be available to care for those who most need them in our community. We cannot thank Abacus enough for their generous support.
Parasol
Foundation
The Parasol Foundation Trust is a philanthropic trust established in 2004 in Gibraltar and is overseen by its principal benefactress, Ruth Parasol. For over 10 years the Trust has been giving to communities in Gibraltar, UK, Israel, India and the United States. To date, the Trust has committed over £20,000,000 on various educational, health, culture and heritage initiatives in Gibraltar, UK, Israel, India and US. Ruth is one of the world’s wealthier self-made business women. As a successful Internet entrepreneur and investor, she believes “Our time, success and fortune are borrowed. You can never give or appreciate enough, but every effort helps. Here, at The Parasol Foundation Trust, we enable change by supporting talented individuals and core centers of health and education, in order to create a better future for the next generation.”
Kusuma
Trust
A vital part of running a professional clinical service within a charity is the need for our staff to ensure their continued professional development.
Training and education, be it personal or as a group for the good of the charity can be incredibly expensive and something a charity can ill afford.
That is where the Kusuma Trust stepped in and agreed to fund various staff on various courses over the years. Because of the Trust, the charity has been able to ensure that their staff and their services are meeting the highest professional standards.
For this, we thank Kusuma Trust for their huge generosity and support.
Gibraltar
International Bank
Following our announcement that fundraising had ground to a halt due to the Covid-19 lock-down, Gibraltar International Bank was the first to come to the charity’s support, donating a substantial doantion of £20,000 at the very beginning of this difficult time. The charity is so grateful for their quick and generous response to our emergency fund appeal.
Piranha
Designs
Cancer Relief has had the great good fortune of being supported entirely for free by Piranha Designs for several years. In 2015, it was decided that the charity website needed an update. Piranha Design’s team made it easy for the charity to reinvent our online presence with a professional, modern and accessible look. We are so grateful for their dedication, support and generosity to the charity.
Isolas
1892
Isolas law firm has been providing pro bono support for the charity for several years. Recent efforts to expand the services provided by the charity have meant a huge amount of work was done for the charity by Isolas’ staff. Their tireless efforts, unwavering support and generosity in undertaking this work means that the charity has been able to take vital steps towards making our dreams a reality, something that we could not have dreamt of without Isolas.
PRISON SERVICE &
MED STEPS CHALLENGE
Over the past six years, the Prison Service ‘Med Steps 5 Challenge’ team have been ardent supporters of Cancer Relief, with their event growing exponentially over the years. Thanks to their hard work and amazing support from the local community, they have raised over £68,000 for the Centre to date! The team work continuously throughout the year, planning the day and working to secure sponsors and donations to ensure the best experience possible. We are eternally grateful for their dedication and support
